Health, Safety and Hygiene |

| 1. | Face painting is not recommended for children under 3 years old. Under this age a child’s skin is sensitive and still in development. There is a risk of prompting a future sensitivity or allergy. Also if a young child is unwilling to have their face painted I will take the child’s feelings into account rather than the parents' and will not persevere. I can offer your little one a small design on their arm instead. | | 2. | I will not paint anyone suffering from cold/flu symptoms or who has any apparent skin complaints e.g. eczema, chicken pox, conjunctivitis, cold sore, open cuts and bruises. | | 3. | I reserve the right to refuse to paint anyone who is abusive, violent or intoxicated. | | 4. | I only use the highest quality, professional products which are designed for use on the skin and are EC and FDA approved. My paints are water-based and have antibacterial/hypoallergenic properties. | | 5. | I do appreciate being presented with clean faces to be painted. Please wipe noses too! | | 6. | I am dedicated to providing the most hygienic service possible - I use a clean sponge for each person
- I rinse brushes after every client
- I clean all used sponges in a washing machine on a 60 degree program. Brushes are washed with hot water and a cosmetic brush soap.
| | 7. | Parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times. | | 8. | I will try to be sensitive to the needs of each child or adult. | | 9. | The best way to wash off face paint is to use a wet flannel with warm soapy water. | | 10. | Some paints may stain clothes. |
